We are excited to announce that Vance has raised $1.5 million in pre-seed funding led by Village Global, with participation from Seedcamp, Anamcara, Foreword and Visionary Ventures (Invisible).
Since April this year, we have formed a fantastic founding team spanning product, growth, partnerships, and community. We have spoken to hundreds of customers and developed our first services - Government Obligations and Ask Vance.
We founded Vance to transform the odds for America's 33 million SMBs by removing their administrative and obligation burdens. We believe SMBs deserve access to exceptional technology services that will help them compete with incumbents in the age of AI.
With 18 million new businesses creating nearly two-thirds of new jobs over the past decade, the need for efficient administrative support has never been greater. Small businesses are the backbone of the American economy but face expensive barriers to success. On average, they spend 120 days per year on admin tasks and double the amount per employee on government obligations compared to larger companies. This is where Vance comes in.
We see a future where small businesses can thrive by focusing on their core service or product, growing top-line revenues, and reducing G&A costs that impact the bottom line.
Traditionally, software has been used to increase human productivity. Now, we’re at an inflection point where AI not only reduces tedious, time-consuming tasks by performing them for us, but also delivers meaningful outcomes. Unlike traditional SaaS platforms, Vance understands a business's obligations and can independently manage government and administrative tasks with minimal instruction. This includes liaising with accountants, renewing licenses, scanning mail for government notices, renewing insurance, and compiling company reports.
As we celebrate this milestone and look ahead to the next phase, we remain committed to our mission. We aim to create a company that cares about our customers and works tirelessly to remove administrative barriers so businesses can reach their true potential.
Over the next few months, we plan to quickly expand our suite of services. Soon, we’ll be launching Advisor Bridge, which corresponds directly with your accountant on your behalf, and Quick Actions, which converts time-consuming and complex tasks into a single, simple step.
